BIC Festival Audio Award Win!
Hello everyone!
Last month I went to Busan Indie Connect Festival (BIC for short), to show Lo-Fi Room~
The main news for me from there is that the game won the Excellence in Audio category! :) Which I was super happy with! (Here are some photos of me with the big prize sign)
I had a really good time at the event! I was able to meet a lot of really cool people and also get really useful feedback from what people said and also watching people playing the game in real life. So thanks to everyone who came along!
Here are some photos from my booth. It was a little tricky to work out a good setup but I like how it turned out :)
The main thing I learned was that it can be pretty unclear what you have to do in the beginning of the game. So I’ve mainly been focusing on improving the starting experience for players. For the next month or so I'm planning to focus on that, I will still keep working on levels steadily, but first priority is on improving the menu UIs and trying to make what you can do more clear.
I also sent out playtest keys a few weeks ago with an extra 19th level, so if you signed up to be a playtester before then, check your spam folder! I'm hoping to do another bigger playtest once I've added 3 - 5 new levels, but that might be a little while.

a rather late congrats mr bearmask i had found lofi room as of today and i want to suggest using some of the background items to make beats in beat maker because the cat would sound so good with level 1

Thanks for the suggestion, so it's a little difficult to turn the background objects into instruments, but on the desktop version if you record the beat as an mp3 the objects you click during the recording will also be recorded in the file~
Hey can you still sign up to be a playtester or is the sign-up time over?
Hi, thanks for asking! Playtester sign ups are always open! It will be a little while (a couple of months) before I send out new keys though. My guess is that I'll send out new keys before the end of the year~
Congratulations! Nice to see more people recognizing and appreciating this game.
P.S. I'm working on my feedback form for the playtest; level 19 made me very happy.

Thanks very much! :) I keep plugging it but you can sign up to be a playtester here and I will send out test keys whenever I do I new playtest update. The next one will probably be in a couple of months~ The current version has ~19 levels added.
