oh dud, this is awesome, i can't wait for the 15 levels
this is a really great game. keep up the work :).
Was looking for fun cozy games to spend my evening with. This one made my day :D
it's such a cute concept and it's executed so well! excited for the full release <3
Nice game excited to play more levels!
it was a really cute game!
I love the music and art style, good job! Looking forward to the full version!
I had a lot of fun playing, the art and beats are great and the whole game is so charming. Great work!
super cute. great art. love the kitties
Such a cool idea, loved it! Can't wait for more levels!
Your game was really cool and I loved it. It was short but really fun to play. The music was so chill to listen to and relaxing that it made me want to complete the songs faster. I loved the art and thought it was pretty cool. I really hope you continue to add more levels to this game, I really enjoyed it.
Hey, thank you very much :)
I'm still working on new levels, I have about 3.5 more done so far.
I really liked it! I was trying to find a good game that could make me happy for sometime, and this game proved to me that it does not require a large team of people to make something good, but the love and effort you put in it.
It's not hard, so you won't feel bad about failing, and it made me want to play more. I loved the songs, the art and everything about it. It made my day.
Keep up the good work, and I hope you have a great day.
Hi, thank you so much! :)
That's all very kind of you to say, I'm glad you appreciated it! It's a bit of long term project, but I'm slowly but surely making progress on the full version~
The newest version is so nice! This game still has sooo much potential! (Wow it's been a while since i've played this, I'm the coffee shop idea guy lol)
Keep up the good work!
Thank you for coming back to the game again! :) I'm glad you like the new version~
Ah yeah I remember that, I just checked that was ~7months ago! I've got 3.5 more levels done since then for the full version, so far they're mostly based in a park.
Great! I'm happy to see this game's getting bigger. I missed the event where the newest level was showcased, So I'll just wait .
Oh, by the way. You probably saw a reply on one of my comments but I speak both english and brazillian portuguese. So if you want the game to be translated I could maybe help!~
Absolutely love the game, wish a skip option was available, as I begun to rage during the bell section of the third level. The play experience was otherwise relaxing and fun.
Hey thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the game :)
Thanks for the feedback on the bell, that's really useful to know. I'm thinking of ways to smooth out the difficulty a bit more. I have an idea for dealing with it so hopefully I'll be able to get that done soon~
Very nice game. I became interested in music ensemble.
Unlike others, all levels were easy for me, and I wanted to play longer.
Being able to do demo versions on the Web was really brilliant, and I hope you get good results on Indiecraft.
Hi, thanks so much! Thanks for the feedback, it was nice to see you in the Indiecraft world :)
Hope the rest of Indiecraft goes well for you too!
I loved the concept, loved the game altogether and loved the artwork. I have a small criticism about the bass mostly. I've played the game without headphones and it's barely audible, especially if you have other instruments playing already. Other than that, it's all really cool. I've seen a couple of people complain about the difficulty of the drums, and although it's noticeably harder than the other instruments, I was able to complete it without getting stuck. Great game overall and I can't wait for the final version with all the levels <3
Hey, thanks so much! :)
Thanks for letting me know about the bass, when I have time I'll try to mix everything so that you can hear the bass well too, it might be tricky to balance it for headphones and speakers but I'll see if I can find a way.
In my experience people tended to find the bell and the guitar difficult in level 3, but I haven't heard that much feedback on the drums. Was it the drums on the first level that were difficult, or all of them? Also by difficult, do you mean difficult to find or to play? Thanks for your feedback~ :)
I meant to play and I found it a bit harder than the rest compared to the other instruments on each level, not only on level 1. Level 3 I did find that the difficulty went up by a bunch, but seeing that it's only the three levels for now, I think it's very much okay. I would put a level or two when adding the new ones between the actual Level 2 and Level 3 that exist right now, or tone the Level 3 difficulty down a bit (haha get it? tone down? sorry).
Also, about the bass, just a bit louder should be fine (or its frequencies enhanced and the other instruments lowered on those freqs when the bass appears). My speakers are usually okay with low frequencies and I could hear it, but it just got overridden by any other instrument very easily.
Thanks for getting back to me :) Ah ok that's interesting about the drums. I have some ideas for improving the difficulty curve slightly, so hopefully that should be resolved soon :)
I know what you mean about the bass, I'm not that experienced with mixing so I would like to spend some time on that when the game is a bit further along in development.
(also thanks for the pun, was much appreciated~)
I feel like it would be better if we could skip the rythym part cause it keeps going on for ever and I can´t get past the first level
Hi, thank you for the feedback~
Could I ask you a few questions to help me improve the game please? I'd like the game to be accessible as possible, so I'd like to know whether some things are unclear in the game, or where there might be problems for newer players.
- Which instrument did you get stuck on in the first level?
- Were you able to complete any of the other instruments (if so which ones)?
- Was it clear to you that you could exit the current rhythm game with the back button in the bottom left corner?
- Did you play with the sound turned on or off?
The rhythm part is a really important part of the game, so I don't think it would work with it being skippable. But I'd like to make sure it's still easy enough for new players.
one of the best games ever i keep on revisiting this game
Hey, thanks very much :) I'm glad you're able to keep playing it! I'm working on a longer version of the game at the moment. This version most likely won't get any new levels but I will keep it up to date with gameplay updates. I'm hoping to get the full version finished around the end of this year~
This game is literally so well done and the vibes are immaculate :)
Hi so i was really inspired to make lofi music by this game you made here. Obviously you have made some lofi music yourself, so do you have any tips for me? I have taken note of the instruments that you get to use in the game and use that to help me work on music. Thanks for the fun game and i am really excited! Also is the game going to be free when it is fully out?
Hey thank you, that’s great to hear! :)
So I’m not sure at which stage you are at making lo-fi music, but first things first, I think it’s best to start with a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). I have a Mac so I use Garageband. I’ve tried a few other things over the years but that was the easiest for me to use (+ it’s free and included with the computer). If you have windows I think Ableton live lite is probably the best option, you can get that for free here :)
If you decide to use Garageband, I found this tutorial video super, super helpful. I used it to help me build my first lo-fi tracks~
After you have a DAW, I would recommend getting a midi controller (basically a mini piano you can plug into your computer). I have this one. I think it's one of the cheapest options. If you want something with a bit more features, I've heard this one is good. Or if you decide to use Ableton, this one is made to work well together with that.
If you don’t have access to a computer, you can use Garageband on iOS. (I haven’t had much experience with that though). I’m not sure there’s a good option for Android yet.
In terms of learning how to make music itself. I'm not sure what the best way of doing that would be. I think probably the best way is to first make a drum beat (try to recreate a similar one to a track you like), they are usually fairly simple to figure out, just listen to where the kick drum, snares and hi-hats appear. Then adding 3 or 4 chords over that (I'd stick to just the white keys to start with) then loop melody ideas over the top with different instruments, again just using the white keys. That is kind of a simplified version of the process I go through.
I would say it helps to listen to what is happening in songs you like, like drum patterns or instrumentation and trying to add these elements to your tracks~ Or maybe even trying to rebuild tracks in order to practice.
I know a lot of people use samples to build beats, I haven't had much experience with that, but that could also be a good way to get started. Also in general there is a lot of good information on youtube, so I'd recommend looking stuff up there frequently.
Hope this is of some help to you :)
And regarding the game, the full game will most likely be paid (but not very expensive). But I haven't decided on the details yet.
Hello, I wish you had the game in Portuguese :(
Hey, thank you for your interest in the game~
The game only has 2 pieces of text: "Levels" in the menu and "Find the Instruments" at the beginning of Level 1.
Let me know if this is enough for you to play the game, or you wanted/meant something else? :)
Still loving and recommending it to friends :) I love the art and juiciness on it, I'm still learning digital art and I hope I can do such beautiful things in the future :)
Kinda makes me proud I can "make music" in it since i'm quite a noob musically haha <3
Hey, awesome! Thank you :)
To be honest, I'm also a bit basic at digital art (I do all the lines on paper still).
I'm glad you got the feeling of making music from it :) That was one of the main things I was trying to do~
Oh also, I don't know if you saw. But if you're interested, I have a 6 level demo available here until July 11th~
I made an account just to comment this. I played this game a few months ago and I and I thought it was great. Im excited it's getting new levels.
It's simple, but so calm and satisfactory, this game is AMAZING, i want more!!
This is so unique creative and fun. Love it
Would love more levels
Wow thanks for the info. Ill be looking forward to it
Saaaame, I love this so much :( <3
Haha, thanks all of you~
I have no words.
As a developer, I think it's a simple game but done so well that is outrageously good.
As a gamer, I want to play more and more. Why is there only 3 levels? xD
Thank you for amazing me!
Hey, thank you :)
I'm glad you were so impressed by the game! I'm working on building more levels at the moment (I've also updated the 3 level version today). Next week (from the 26th) a 6 level version should be available for 2 weeks as part of this, so if you get a chance feel free to check that out :)
That's so nice.
I was amazed, because I was looking for some south korean games, and bumped into your game.
I was not expecting something so beautiful and entertaining without IAP or multiplayer, or something similar that is common nowadays.
I am glad the game is still being created.
Will keep an eye on this!
Omg this game is so cute!!! I love this so much!
This is so fun! I'm a huge fan of rhythm games, and getting to "build" your own music is awesome! It's also super chill in atmosphere, which works great with the concept.
Hey, thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the game :) I really wanted to try and capture what it was like to make music, so I'm glad you enjoyed that part of it~
ohhhh i love this game
i shared with my friends, they liked too
kisses from Brazil s2
This is just inspiring, why don't you just make this into a commercial success, the world needs to see this
Hi thank you for the kind words! I'm glad you found the game so inspiring :)
So in terms of making this into a commercial game, I'm working to do this at the moment. I'm trying to build it into ~15/20 level game by the end of this year. I'm a solo developer who does this in their free time so progress can be a little slow, but I'll get there in the end. :)
I absolutely loved the game! The music was amazing and I loved the art style!
Awesome game! I love the aesthetic and, of course, the music. well done, this was obviously a success :]
Cute short little game, I enjoyed it!
This is such a cute game. Will there be any further advancements regarding the song selection?
Thanks! Yes I'm working to finish a full version of the game (with around 15-20 levels) around the end of this year. I'm not 100% sure how I will be releasing that yet though, but I'll keep this page updated with news.
Really cute game, would have loved the key track to be a bit longer (so it doesnt end in the hitbox, but still got the hang of it pretty quick!
Hi, glad you liked the game and thanks for taking the time to give feedback :)
I'm not sure I fully understand what you mean, would you mind clarifying a couple of things?
What do you mean by key track? Do you mean the rhythm game for every instrument or do you mean a specific keyboard instrument in the game? Also I'm not sure what you mean end in the hitbox? Do you mean that the track keeps loops so the end of the track is also the start of the track?
Sorry, I meant this part of the track :P
Feels kind of off that you have to hit right at the end
Ah thanks! I see what you mean now :)
I originally had it positioned a little higher but moved it to bottom. Now you mention it though, I'm not 100% sure on that decision, I'll consider adjusting it again.
This game was soooo cute. I was a little sad that it was so short. Took me awhile to get the rythms down (had to two-hand one of the beats) but I really enjoyed it. I hope there will be a very long playlist as an update to this game!
Hey thank you :) I'm glad you had a good time with the game! I'm going to keep working on it and I'm aiming to get a full version (with more levels) finished around the end of this year.
Great small game. Really good songs and an intresting take on the hidden object genre. Keep up the good work!
Hi, I know it's been a while, but I was just scrolling through the comments and realized I'd missed yours. So I just wanted to say thanks :)
fun little game. I would reccomend including a close button on the start screen. It isn't hard to press alt + f4, but not everybody will know what to do after finishing the game.
